Breakthrough in Fall Prevention: Fall Analysis

Because prevention is better than cure, Nobi remains committed to fall prevention — a true breakthrough in healthcare technology. By providing advanced tools to monitor and manage fall incidents, Nobi is helping care homes reduce risks and improve patient safety.

One of the most exciting features of Nobi is the ability to view short videos of fall incidents. This breakthrough in fall prevention enables care teams to not only see the moment of the fall but also analyse the circumstances leading up to it. With this valuable insight, caregivers can better understand the cause of the fall and implement more effective strategies to prevent similar incidents in the future.

This new video feature complements the existing imagery that Nobi already provides right after a fall. By offering both immediate visual data and video context, Nobi gives care workers a more comprehensive view of what happened, making fall prevention even more effective.

Without Nobi

Only 18% of elderly residents are able to use the nurse call system.

With Nobi

100% of falls are detected. Fall detection is completely automated. No human action required.

New Features Implemented

But that’s not all — Nobi is continuously improving to make fall prevention and monitoring easier and more efficient. Soon, Nobi will be launching four new features that will enhance the user experience and provide even greater functionality. Here’s a sneak peek:

Common Areas

Nobi will soon be available in shared spaces such as hallways and bathrooms, where falls are more likely to occur. These common areas will be equipped with Nobi lamps configured as independent units, and will feature the highest privacy settings for residents.

Link Users to Departments

With this upcoming feature, users will be assigned to specific departments, ensuring that fall notifications and escalations reach the right people promptly. This will help streamline communication and improve response times.

Dashboard Sounds

Caregivers will soon receive immediate sound notifications for any escalation or monitoring event on their device. This will eliminate the need to constantly monitor the dashboard, allowing staff to respond swiftly to urgent matters.

Login with Usernames

To make access even easier, Nobi will soon allow users to log in using their usernames, which is particularly helpful for staff members who don’t have email addresses. Of course, the use of two-factor authentication (2FA) will remain in place for security.

With these new features, Nobi continues to lead the way in fall prevention, ensuring that care homes can provide safer environments for their residents. Stay tuned for more updates and keep an eye on the upcoming release notes for full details on these exciting developments!
